Refinishing is the smart choice to deal with an outdated or damaged tub, counter top, sink or wall tile. Chips, rust, cracks, stains and dull areas completely go away. Fixtures with outdated colors can be changed and look new again. You choose the color to fit your new decor. Most customers can’t tell the difference between a refinished tub and a new one. Faced with worn or dated fixtures, you have the choice of refinishing or replacement. Think again about replacement. Replacement, especially bathtubs, includes expensive tradesmen and a week of hassles. Frequently demolition is required. That means noisy, dusty work that causes damage to your floors, walls and plumbing. Not to mention the cost savings.
Stone finishes can be applied over all types of counters and vanities as well as ceramic wall and floor surfaces. This will give you a stylish Corian or Granite like seamless finish without messy tear out.
Most likely you have a surface bonding issue. The company that previously refinished your bathtub most likely used either inexpensive, inferior materials, and/or poorly trained personnel. Glazepro applies our silane chemical bonding agent that ensures a permanent bond. DIY refinishing kits also have similar issues with peeling.
Yes, newly refinished surfaces will give off a strong odor for a short time period. Glazepro strives to control the odor as much as possible with fume extractors. We can add a pleasant smelling scent to the re-surfacing chemical at your request.
False! There isn’t a process in the refinishing industry can spray porcelain on your bathtub. Porcelain must be kiln fired at over 2500 degrees. Beware of companies claiming to do so, it is simply impossible.
A refinished surface should last 10 to 15 years if cleaned and maintained properly. We provide a written warranty and care instructions immediately after the job is finished. Beware of companies offering a lifetime warranty which is most always pro-rated and only the materials, not labor are covered. Brand new manufacturer warranties are only 3 to 7 years. If a new bathtub will last only 15 to 20 years before needing some type of repair, restoration or resurface there’s no way a bathtub refinished with a sprayed on coating will last a lifetime! Also you will find these are the companies that have not been in business very long!
